The open access platform TUDOjournals offers researchers at TU Dortmund University the opportunity to publish scientific open access journals. To this end, it uses an instance of the open source software Open Journal Systems (OJS) hosted by the University Library Center of North Rhine-Westphalia. The University Library provides support for setting up new journals and migrating existing journals to TUDOjournals, and ensures the global visibility and long-term availability of published content, including by assigning Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) as persistent identifiers.
This includes, among other things
- the basic setup of the journal on TUDOjournals,
- the introduction of staff to the possible uses of the journal platform and technica,
- support during ongoing operations,
advice on the operation of an open access journal.
In addition, the university library automatically takes care of the mandatory delivery of publications to the German National Library and the Westfalica Electronica state portal.
The organization of the journal (editorial office, review process) is the responsibility of the publisher and/or the editorial office.
